Hello World!

As another year comes to an end I can't help but look back at all the amazing things that have happened to Marianne and I in our first two years in the Berkshires. When we moved here and opened Greylock Arts we didn't quite know what to expect. After having lived the better part of the last ten years in Boston and New York City I was looking for a more restful, healthy existence, and one that involved more time with nature. Marianne and I were both looking to spend more time involved in the arts and in pursuing our own creative goals.

We opened Greylock Arts at least partly because we couldn't bear for the ground floor of our building on Summer Street in Adams to go empty. With the gallery we have tried to make connections between art, technology, and the community. In the past year we have met and worked with so many amazing people, from our involvement with the Summer Street Association of Merchants to our partnership with MCLA Gallery 51 and Turbulence with Networked Realities: (Re)Connecting The Adamses.

This website, NewAdams.es, is the next step in our desire to make connections and create positive change for our area. As we have learned, the people of Adams and North Adams take great pride in what they do, and in who they are. NewAdams.es provides a place for us to share what it is that we do individually so that we may share that with the world collectively. Today we begin with a few blogs, and over the next few months we'll be inviting everyone of you to join us by creating your own.
